Non Surgical Spinal Decompression Therapy

What Is Nonsurgical Spinal Decompression?

Nonsurgical spinal decompression is a type of motorized traction that may help release back
pain. Spinal decompression works by gently stretching your spine. This decreases the
pressure applied on the spine which takes the pressure off the spinal facets, the vertebral
discs, spinal nerves, and other structures in your spine. This results in increased movement of
fluids, oxygen, and nutrients to bulging or herniated disks so they, in time, may retract.

Conditions Nonsurgical Spinal Decompression May Help With:

  • Back pain, neck pain, sciatica.
  • Bulging or herniated disks or degenerative disk disease
  • Worn spinal joints (called posterior facet syndrome)
  • Injured or diseased spinal nerve roots

Who Should Not Have Nonsurgical Spinal Decompression?

People with any of these conditions should not have nonsurgical spinal decompression:

  • Fracture
  • Tumor
  • Abdominal aortic aneurysm
  • Advanced osteoporosis
  • Metal implants in the spine
  • While Pregnant
